Pulitzer Sunday

Sunday is my favourite day of the week. My partner and I usually try to complete all errands on Saturday so that we can be homebodies and relax. Today I spent the morning drinking coffee, working on the NYT crossword and reading links I bookmarked all week.

One piece in particular really struck me. The writing is vivid and the story is absolutely heart breaking. As a bonus and fyi in case you are not a NYT subscriber this piece was nominated for a Pulitzer and you can read it for free here:

In Japan, the elderly often live, and die, alone By Norimitsu Onishi

I will be going back to the Pulitzer site to enjoy more content that is normally behind a pay wall.

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry, cleaning up, and preparing for next week. I did sneak in a little nap and feel very well rested as well.
